The choice of material or fabric for textile tubing in air distribution systems is decisive when functional characteristics, durability and appearance
are taken into consideration. For air distribution systems the following fabrics are particularly suitable:
Polyester fabrics from IBENA have the following properties:
- good resistance to oxidation agents
- reasonable resistance to acids and organic solvents
- very good washing quality
- high light and weather-proof qualities
- very good dyeable quality
- fire classification B2
- normally manufactured in the following qualities:
- from staple fibre yarn, half matt or optically brightened
- from filament thread, normal and reinforced - on request also in roughened finish
Polypropylene fabrics from IBENA have the following properties:-
- moisture absorption almost nil, resulting in low mould and spore development
- outstanding resistance to acids and detergent solutions
- very good resistance to hydrolysis
- almost impossible to dye, but yarn dyed by the spinning nozzle process in the widest colour range available
- chafe-proof
- good tensile strength
Trevira CS fabrics from IBENA have the following properties:
- fire classification B1,( M1 on request)
- good resistance to oxidation agents
- reasonable resistance to acids and organic solvents
- very good dyeable quality
- high light and weather-proof qualities
- normally manufactured in the following qualities:
- from staple fibre yarn, half matt or optically brightened
- from filament thread, normal and reinforced - or as a mixed fibre material filament/fibre
Nomex fabrics from IBENA have the following properties:
- permanent fire protection classification B1, (M1 on request)
- long-lasting temperature resistance up to 200° C
- excellent resistance to acids, detergents and aggressive gases
- very long life
- on request permanently anti-static through addition of steel fibre
- increase in filter capacity through single or double-sided roughening of material
Further characteristics can be obtained from the table “ Specific Properties”
